I was born in Barcelona in a musicians family. My parents are cellists and they have always been my reference.
Before the Bachelor studies, I entered the class of my father Lluís at Escola de Música “Victòria dels Àngels” in Sant Cugat (Barcelona). They were two stimulating years, in which I had the privilege to work closely with Bernard Greenhouse and Laurence Lesser.
After some years, I studied a Masters degree at Leopold Mozart Zentrum in Augsburg (Germany) with Julius Berger, whom I consider a big influence and inspiration.
It was during my Bachelor studies at Liceu Conservatory (Barcelona) that I discovered something that I was never going to put aside: chamber music. Since then, it stands on top of my professional development. I am lucky to be able to share it with great musicians, whom I sometimes consider good friends as well, and this makes the musical connection even richer.
Besides that, I collaborate regularly with the two main orchestras in Barcelona: the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra (OBC) and the Liceu Orchestra. I am very happy to combine this with other personal projects that strongly contribute to my personal and musical growth, such as the Complete works for cello and piano by L. van Beethoven with Àlex Ramírez; the Inventions and Highlands projects with the creation group Mal Pelo; or “The faith…”, for solo cello, which has been for me a revelation of the figure of György Kurtág and the rediscovery of the Bach Suites,
first time performed with a barroque bow in my life.
On 2010 I made my soloist debut at Palau de la Música Catalana (Barcelona), and I have very special memories of that day. I performed as a soloist with different orchestras in Spain, Andorra and Germany.
