Cellist Joshua Gordon joined the Lydian String Quartet and faculty of Brandeis University in 2002; with the Lydians he recently performed and taught at a two week chamber music workshop and residency at the Taipei National University of the Arts in Taiwan in December. He is also an artist member of the Worcester Chamber Music Society and resident cellist at the annual Wellesley Composers Conference. He performs across the USA and abroad, and has been a guest of the Apple Hill, Cassatt, DaPonte, Juilliard, and Ying Quartets, Boston Baroque, Boston Chamber Music Society, Chameleon Arts Ensemble, Emmanuel Music, Mistral Music, North Country Chamber Players, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Portland Chamber Music Festival, and Rockport Chamber Music Festival. His New World release with Randall Hodgkinson Leo Ornstein: Complete Works For Cello and Piano was named a top 10 classical recording of 2007 by the All Music Guide. Gordon can be heard on Lydian recordings of quartets by Beethoven (the late quartets), Martin Boykan, Mohammed Fairouz, John Harbison, and Vincent Persichetti.
