Parlando - Histoire du soldat

  • New England Conservatory - Brown Hall 290 Huntington Avenue Boston, MA, 02115 United States (map)

Our 14th season in Boston —Parlando — weaves together three threads that all have to do with the stories we tell with music. Each concert:

  • has been curated by one of MFF’s beloved friends

  • features a world premiere for viola, composed and performed by NEC students

  • centers a work that integrates spoken word

The season opens with Stravinsky’s Histoire du soldat and a world premiere for viola by Lingbo Ma! Tom Novak curated this marvelous program. Don’t miss a word or a note this season!

We are grateful that an anonymous sponsor has agreed to match up to $2,500 of the donations made at the concert. All concert proceeds will be sent to Women’s Lunch Place, which has provided meals, direct care, and other resources to women in Boston for 41 years.
