Life Story
Musicians from University of Houston—Moores School of Music—and beloved Houston-area ensembles perform a concert to benefit Emergency Aid Coalition’s Food Pantry. Program to include Bach’s Chaconne from Violin Partita No. 2 in D minor (arranged by Laszlo Varga for cello quartet) and Smetana’s String Quartet No. 1 "From my Life.”

Mortality in the Sublime
Our Houston chapter opens its season with a program both human and sublime with Schubert’s Auf dem Strom, D. 943, Vasks’ Castillo Interior, and Schubert’s String Quintet in C Major, D. 956 to benefit the Emergency Aid Coalition’s food pantry. Artists include faculty and students from University of Houston's Moores School of Music as well as musicians from Houston Symphony and River Oaks Chamber Orchestra.

Impressions of a Memory: Part II
Moores School of Music faculty, students, alumni and local guest artists are excited to present a chamber music concert in support of Houston Food Bank at Christ Church Cathedral in downtown Houston at 7:30pm on Tuesday, April 19th, 2022. The program explores chamber music as a vehicle for immortalizing memories with a peek into the other side of Alice's looking glass through Caroline Shaw's creatively absurd Entr'acte, Robert Schumann's remarkably evocative Piano Quartet in E-flat Major, and the sonic manifestation of Tchaikovsky's adoration of a seductively warm Florence, Italy in his Souvenir de Florence for string sextet.
