Artists
Every musician has the ability to make a difference and become a Music for Food artist!
According to Feeding America, every county in the United States experiences some degree of food insecurity. Where there is a need there is an opportunity to nourish with the gift of music. Whether it be a solo recital or collaboration with like-minded musicians, partner with a local food pantry and organize a Music for Food concert in your community.

Presenters
Make social responsibility part of your season’s theme!
Designate one of your concerts as a Music for Food event. Be a model for artist-citizenship: pick a local pantry and inform your audience by including a message in your programs and designating a percentage of ticket sales to Music for Food, on behalf of that pantry.

Schools/Students
You’re never too young to learn about civic engagement, and what better way to do it than through music?
We encourage students of any age to organize their own Music for Food concerts to raise awareness and funds for hunger relief in their community, and, in doing do, to learn about the integration of music and community service, transforming their concert into a platform for active civic engagement.
“MFF has helped the boys at the school to understand how their music can be used to help the less fortunate, and how to share their music with a broader audience. I couldn’t recommend it strongly enough as a collaborative experience.”
—John Robinson, Director of Music at St. Paul’s Choir School, Cambridge, MA
