Violinists Lily Tsai and Jen Hsiao, cellist Valerie Chen, violist Jenn Chang, and pianist Solon Gordon bring together two masterworks of Eastern European chamber music: Kodály's Duo for Violin and Cello and Shostakovich's sweeping Piano Quintet in G minor, Op. 57. NEC Prep CHIPS Joins Forces with Music for Food
New England Conservatory Preparatory School CHIPS (Chamber Music Intensive Performance Seminar) is joining forces with Music for Food beginning this spring.
CHIPS has selected the Boston-based organization Food for Free as its beneficiary partner. In the coming weeks, CHIPS students will meet with representatives from Food for Free to learn more about their work addressing food insecurity across the greater Boston area.
The first CHIPS Music for Food concert will take place on April 19 at Carriage House Violins in Newton.
Additional CHIPS Music for Food concerts are planned throughout the 2026–27 school year. The series will encourage young musicians to use their artistry in the service of their communities and to experience the powerful role music can play beyond the concert hall.

Presto Piano Studio
Presto Piano Studio
Students from Presto Piano Studio, under the direction of pianist and teacher Jimmy Liu, will perform at Chatham University’s Laughlin Music Center on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 4:00 pm.
Presto Piano Studio includes students ages five through adult and focuses on both artistic excellence and a love of sharing music with the community. Studio performers have appeared at venues such as Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, Heinz Hall, Carnegie Music Hall, and even atop Mt. Washington. Students also volunteer regularly at retirement communities throughout Pittsburgh, including Forward Shady, Friendship Village, and The Willows.
Many students have earned top marks in ABRSM examinations, local piano competitions, and community performances. They are honored to take part in this Music for Food concert at Chatham University and to share their music in support of a meaningful cause.

Please join us to celebrate the light of music in winter! Our concert focuses on Bruce Adolphe’s “Einstein’s Light” and Robert Schumann’s beloved Piano Quartet. Bruce Adolphe will talk about his composition for violin and piano, which was written in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Einstein’s theory of general relativity and is inspired by the great physicist’s life and love of music.

Join Music for Food and Trio Suspiro in an evening of music to support Second Harvest of Silicon Valley!
On Friday, November 7th at 7:30PM, Trio Suspiro (violinist Lily Tsai, cellist Stephanie Tsai, and pianist Ben-han Sung) will perform a benefit concert at St. Mark's in Palo Alto in collaboration with Music for Food and Second Harvest to help fight hunger in our local communities.
Lily and Stephanie grew up in Palo Alto and have played music together since childhood—performing at school (JLS and Gunn High School), competing together as a string duo, and participating in local orchestras like SFSYO. Stephanie and Ben-han met at Stanford, leading to a strong friendship and musical bond that brought all three together to form Trio Suspiro in 2024 when the two sisters returned home. They formed this partnership with Music for Food to give back to their home communities, and to bring an evening of harmony—both in music and on purpose—to you!
Entry to the concert is free, and while donations are optional, a suggested contribution of $10 would be greatly appreciated. Every bit of support helps these organizations continue their invaluable work in our local community.

PCMS delights in highlighting the Jasper Quartet, one of today’s preeminent American string quartets which also happens to call Philadelphia home. Hailed as being “expressively assured and beautifully balanced” (Gramophone), the ensemble is joined for this concert by Julietta Curenton, a flutist known for her “bold and dramatically characterized playing” (Dallas Morning News) and a “tone that draws in one’s ear with sounds and ideas that simply cannot be resisted” (Philadelphia Inquirer).
The proceeds from this concert will support Broad Street Love.

Come enjoy songs from "Wicked," "Ghostbusters," "The Adamms Family,' and more! Come in costume or come as you are!

The program includes Jessie Montgomery’s programmatic and nimble, Strum for String Quintet; Győrgy Kurtág’s Signs, Games and Messages for solo viola (showcasing eight Curtis viola artists); and Brahms’s iconic Piano Quintet in F Minor, Op. 34.
