Our fabulous Artist Fellows Long Okada and Nicholas Southwick—together, Duo Gwynne—present their program Storms of Elegance at Carriage House’s showroom in Boston to raise funds for the FUEL program at Church of the Redeemer. This program seeks to paint a portrait of the lives and works of five composer-performers who shaped the musical landscape at the turbulent turn of the 19th century in Europe. Voices of Joseph Bologne Chevalier de Saint-Georges, François Devienne, Maddalena Lombardini-Sirmen, Friedrich Dülon, and Joseph Martin Kraus will be placed center stage and celebrated for their contributions to music in the Classical Era.
